The acquisition of Triram Connecticut, LLC (formerly the Chevron
Corporation) is a significant step in the positioning and strengthening of
Hudson Asphalt in preparation for the next century. In addition to serving
as an emulsion manufacturer, Triram's location on the Connecticut River
allows it to accept barge loads to house in its asphalt terminal for the bulk
storage and sale of Performance Grade (PG) material specifically in the
central Connecticut and western Massachusetts areas. This plant is
serviced and managed by personnel with over 25 years of experience with
international oil companies. As federal regulations become more stringent
and require states to use emulsified asphalts to obtain federal highway
funds, Triram's superb line of specialty emulsions and modified asphalt
products are increasing in demand. Triram's modern Connecticut facility is also responsible for the company's
distinction as an industry leader in the development of environmentally friendly asphalt products and paving
procedures. Here, we produce a water-based asphalt emulsion that serves as an environmental
aid in recycling petroleum-contaminated soil.
